Avaya cooperates with Polycom to develop the IP solution

Recently, Avaya ( NYSE: AV) and Polycom ( NASDAQ:PLCM) announced to develop and extend the latest video solution for IP phone together.

New solution will make desktop application and group video communications as easily as making a call. The aim of this action is to offer more efficiency method of communication for enterprise, reduce operation cost, simplify the network management and provide real time video for enterprise. These two companies express that according to the plan Avaya will sell the products of Polycom and offer service in the world scope, this will biggest expand the cooperation relationship between them.

Polycom is the world market leader in IP video communication area. Avaya is the leading provider of communication network and enterprise services (including fast growing IP telephony market). The two companies collaboratively work on the development program by introducing their own strength. Both parties all addressed, that this open, standardized, new video solution will definitely be able to meet increasingly growing video communication need
