Five Hong Kong enterprises file an application to develop the telecommunication value-added service in mainland of China

　　Mr. Jiang Yaoping--the chief of Policy and Regulations Department of Ministry of Information Industry--expressed a few days ago, since the hinterland will open the telecommunication value-added service of 5 items to Hong Kong formally on October 1, 2003, by the end of December, already 5 enterprises have files an application with Trade Department of industry in Hong Kong, included 3 enterprises who got qualified identification that industrial Trade Department issues. Many enterprises consult the relevant policies too in Macao. According to relevant regulations, inland telecommunications industries separately from last October 1 and October 18, it opens to Hong Kong and Macao 5 items of telecommunication value-added services, it is that the telecommunication service provider of Hong Kong and Macro can set up the joint venture in hinterland, manage the business of data center of Internet; store and transmitting type business; call center business; the business of access service of Internet; information service business. The stock right that telecommunications enterprises of Hong Kong, Macao hold can't exceed 50% .

China Motion Telecom is approved to offer the telecommunication value-added service to hinterland as foreign company status

　　China Motion Telecom (0989-HK) announced a few days ago, it has the right and enjoy relevant CEPA favor to offer the telecommunication value-added service to hinterland as foreign company status.

　　According to the CEPA content in the its enclosure, enterprise of Hong Kong can set up joint venture with enterprise of hinterland, and offer the telecommunication value-added service, including, business of data center of Internet; store and transmitting type business; call center business; the business of access service of Internet; information service business, etc.

　　The chairman of China Motion Telecom Mr. Hou DongYing expresses, hopes to expand the serve range further, reduce the operating cost. China Motion Telecom is carrying on research on the development projects at present, will try to announce more detailed development plan to masses as soon as possible.
