UK Telecom will provide voice trading technology for 46 offices of Merchant Bank

　　UK Telecom Syntegra（BT Syntegra） announces today that it has signed agreement with the largest listing bank of China, Merchant Bank. Merchant Bank will adopts the most advanced ITS NETRIX voice trading technology at its Treasury trading center in Shenzhen.

　　The Treasury trading Center of Merchant Bank in Shenzhen is the largest trading center that develops very fast. It will use 46 sets of ITS.NETRIX equipments. It is predicted that in November, this new technology will be applied in all trading of cash market, foreign exchange and fixed revenue.

The operator speeds up the update of voice technology and will invest 4.8 billion US dollars in 20007

　　In 2003, the investment into next generation of voice equipment was 1.2 billion, and till 2007, this number is predicted to be 4.8 billion. US Infonetics Research has announced the survey result about next generation of voice market on July 19 of the local time. The result shows that "Transit from the existing line exchange net to data package network" has become an important strategic factor in the long-term network plan of global operators.

Huawei sings the largest CDMA commercial use contract of Viet Nam

　　Following its Phase I CDMA 2000 contract in September last year, Huawei recently has signed the Phase II CDMA commercial use contract with the Vietnamese telecom operator VPT. This contract will provide CDMA 2000 wireless communication system for 12 provinces in the middle of Viet Nam. The volume of this contract is about 6 million US dollars. This is the largest contract signed in Viet Nam among Chinese companies.

　　Before the signature, the cooperation of Huawei with another mainstream operator VNPT, a wireless telecommunication project, has initiated rapidly. The network covers the municipality in the middle of Viet Nam, Danang, and the largest tourism district, Phu Quoc Island. Huawei is the exclusive Chinese supplier cooperating with VNPT in the wireless field.

　　Till now, Huawei CDMA 2000 system of various frequency bands has entered into 37 countries with 52 operators in the world. In addition, Huawei also undertakes the Mobile Network of Portugal. Its increase speed ranks first among all CDMA 2000 manufacturers, and Huawei becomes the only Chinese CDMA manufacturer with widest application in the world, which enters into the market of western developed countries.
