Win-win cooperation between Avaya and Ingram
Recently, Avaya (NYSE:AV) and Ingram Micro (China) Ltd., Co. announced
to establish partnership. According to the general agency agreement signed
by the two sides, Ingram will act as the sales agency of Avaya, selling
the IP Office products. The two companies will work together to provide
the world leading IP voice telecommunication technique and services to
the medium and small enterprises in China.
Avaya will cooperate closely with Ingram in China in the fields of marketing,
distributing, training and so on. The IP Office products involved in the
contract include IP Office-Small Office Edition, IP Office 403, IP Office
406 and IP Office 412.s
CNCnet of China Netcom being accepted
On August 16, CNCnet was proved to be qualified in the acceptance inspection
as carried out by the inspection committee organized by Chinese Academy
of Sciences (CAS) in the network management center in Yizhuang, Beijing,
China.
CNCnet, a nationwide high-speed broadband IP backbone network constructed
and operated by China Netcom, was put into operation in October of 2000.
The first-stage construction, 8490km in length running through 17 key
cities in the southeast of China, involves 106 relay stations and 17 nodes.
CNCnet mainly provides high-speed information transmission and message
switching, including both comprehensive services and value-added services
(data, voice and pictures). Due to the seamless connection between various
kinds of networks, the total transmission bandwidth can reach 40Gbps.
Russia, the biggest VoIP market in Europe in 2008
With the intensified competition and expanded services, Russia, according
to the latest investigation findings made by Probe, will own 14% of the
VoIP lines on the European Continent by 2008 and will rank the first in
the European VoIP market and the 6th in the world VoIP market, accounting
for 3% of the world VoIP market share.
ContinuousComputing announcing the ATCA products strategy
Facing the high availability of the network services provided by the
telecommunication equipment provider, ContinuousComputing, the platform-based
solution provider, recently announced the strategies on products meeting
the latest standards. Entering into the ATCA market is one of the strategies
taken by ContinuousComputing, through which the company will realize a
significant growth in the market share and business income in terms of
VoIP and 3G wireless products.
ATCA is the latest standards of PCIMG to meet the requirements for the
telecom equipment of the next generation of operators. ContinuousComputing
will provide an integral ATCA platform including both Trillium(r) protocol
software and upSuite(r) middle ware of high availability.
