Cox entering into VoIP market
Cox Communications, an American wire network operator, announced that
it plans to enter into the VoIP market and also intends to take VoIP as
its major business.
Cox is not the only one who is interested in VoIP. In much earlier time,
its competitors, including Mediacom, Adelphia, Times Warna, Comcast, Charter
and other wire TV network provider all said that they would provide VoIP
services and they had all entered into cooperation partnership with Telecom
companies, such as AT&T, MCI, Sprint and Vonage.
The wire TV network as provided by Cox serves as many as 88,000 families.
It also has 62,000 users in urban areas.
RightNow and Echopass enters into cooperation relationship
RightNow® Technologies(NASDAQ:RNOW), the world leading on demand
CRM company announced that it has established cooperation partnership
with Echopass, leading on-demand contact center provider to provide pre-integrated
on demand solutions for multi-channel contact center.
The combination of the CRM system of RightNow and the call center and
CTI solutions of Echopass will bring great convenience for the customers
of the two sides, with no need for purchase, installation or maintenance
of software and hardware.
IronPort entering into the mail security market of China
On September 16, IronPort Company, the world famous network mails gateway
techniques provider put a new generation of mail gateway on Beijing's
market. IronPort says that this new kinds of mail gateway is oriented
to high-end users (enterprises).
In May, Microsoft announced that it would adopt the electric mail certification
techniques as provided by IronPort to provide gateway techniques for MSN
and Hotmail and assist Hotmail in constructing a solid anti-junk mail
gateway. Besides, IronPort also provides services to other international
company, including CNN, Cisco and ebay. The new generation of mail gateway
as provided by IronPort on Beijing market is a signal that IronPort is
entering China market.
VTEL equipment adopted for the grade III network of Jiangsu electric
power system
After the GLY755 products as provided by VTEL was used
in the grade II network of Jiangsu electric power videoconference system,
the two sides cooperated again, with VTEL providing the Vista VP for The
grade III network of Jiangsu electric power system to set up a videoconference
system from city to county level. Thus, an integrated and comprehensive
videoconference system is completed, covering the capital city, local
cities and counties. The equipment will be used for the power dispatching
conference and daily production, which will greatly improve the working
efficiency and emergency capability.
