Nortel Network presenting at PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2004

  Beijing-October 26-30: PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2004 was held in China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. Nortel Networks, the leader and innovator of the global communication industry, will show its power in the industries of wireless network, wired network, optical network and enterprise network, with the topic of "creating an integrated network to provide business opportunities".

  At the exhibition, Nortel Networks will exhibit products and solutions including wireless network, intelligent optical network, IP core network, next-generation network, enterprise network and so on.

Avaya will acquire Tenovis

  Avaya, the world leading enterprise software/system/service provider, announced recently that it would acquired Tenovis GmbH & Co. KG, a major provider of European enterprise telecom system and services subordinate to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.

  According to the contract, Avaya will pay about 370 million USD and assume a debt of about 265 million USD. This dealing is to be checked by relevant authorities. Avaya says that after the acquisition, the income from international business will account for 40% of the total income (at present, the figure is only 25%). With the acquisition, the income of Avaya in Europe will increase to twice as much as before. It is anticipated that Tenovis will bring an annual income of 1 billion USD for Avaya.

  Tenovis, with the headquarter located in Frankfurt, Germany, provides telecom solutions for enterprises and public institutions all over Europe, including speech/voice communication, call center, customer relationship management, information processing, network solutions and so on. The company has over 5400 employees, with the branches in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spanish, Switzerland, Holland and so on.

Intel enhancing the integration of computer science and telecom technologies

  Intel will continue advocating the concept of "integration of computer science and telecom technologies" on the telecom exhibition. It made such a strategy through a discussion between high-level managers. It claims itself as "the largest chip manufacturer in the world", and also "the world leading manufacturer of computer, network and telecom products".
For quite some time, Intel has been promoting the integration of computer science and telecom technologies, which, according to it, is happening in China.
