PacificNet Epro providing CRM consulting services and call center services for TCL

  PacificNet (Nasdaq:PACT) announced that its subsidiary PacificNet Epro has singed a contract with TCL. According to the contract, PacificNet Epro will provide CRM consulting services and business trainings for the call centers of the headquarter and branches (in Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Cheng'du, Huizhou) of TCL.

  As a strategic partner of the customer service center of TCL, PacificNet Epro has, during the past year, provided continuous training on service and management for the five major centers in Huizhou, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu and Beijing, and has been widely recognized and supported among the management and operation personnel of these centers.

27% of the enterprises will apply VoIP in 2006

  According to the latest research report made by Infonetics, the wireless LAN technique is gaining market share with an amazing speed. With the improvement of safety features and the delay in marketing the enterprise-oriented products, the wireless LAN is becoming one of the major IT facilities for enterprises. It is anticipated that in 2006 the laptop connecting to wireless LAN will experience a dynamic growth.

  At present, the major application on wireless LAN is still Internet access, including e-mail and website browsing. However, there will be more complicated applications in the near future. For example, 49% of the users will apply ERP on the wireless LAN.

  Another promising application on the wireless LAN is voice VoIP. At present, only 8% of the users apply the WLAN solutions, but the percentage will increase to 27% by August 2006, when the percentage among large enterprises will be as high as 33%.

An increase of 69% on the VoIP market (at the level of operator) in the 3rd quarter

  According to the latest research report made by Infonetics, in the third quarter of the year the total income from the sale of the next generation of voice products on the global market will reach 452 million USD, an increase of 13% than last quarter and 69% than last year. It is anticipated that the annual income on the market will be increased from the 1.3 billion USD in 2003 to 4.8 billion USD in 2007, with a compound annual growth rate of 39%.

  According to Kevin Mitchell, the major analyst and report writer of Infonetics, the number of most of the equipment, particularly voice application server and voice channel boundary controller, will experience a growth in this quarter. It shows that the service providers are changing strategies, transferring the investment from infrastructure to the next generation of facilities.
