　　Recently, Wainhouse Research, a world famous market research institute in the field of multi-media video frequency communications released a research report on China market. The report drew such a conclusion, that on the videoconference market in China, domestic manufacturers have obvious advantages in safety and techniques over foreign manufacturers.
After beating the foreign competitors in the field of household electric appliances, PC and so on, domestic manufacturers go on beating foreign competitors on the videoconference market. However, this time the domestic manufactures won the battle with advantages in techniques instead of price and marketing policies.

VoIP is gaining recognition on the market

　　According to the investigation made by two authoritative research agencies, VoIP market is growing quickly. According to the latest report released by Dell'Oro and Infonetics, the total income from the next generation of voice products on the world market in the third quarter of the year amounts to 452 million USD, an increase of 13% than the second quarter and 69% than the same period of the last year. It is anticipated that the annual income on this market will be increased from the 1.3 billion USD in 2003 to 4.8 billion USD in 2007, with a compound annual rate of growth of 39%.

　　VoIP has been growing very fast on the PBX market. In the third quarter of this year there will be more than 2.1 million VoIP lines put into use, an increase of 14% than that of the second quarter. According to the report, VoIP is taking the place of traditional communications way.

The speech synthesis system applied in Shandong Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China

　　After the successful application of IFLYTEK's speech synthesis system in the TTS subproject of Software project (Phase II ) of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the bank with the largest assets in China, in July 2004, the product is adopted by Shandong Branch of the Bank in this October. The two sides have signed the purchase contract. The service system of the telephone banking center of the bank has been successfully switched to the new system for the purpose of testing. More business based on TTS, are being developed and will be put into operation at the telephone banking center at the end of the year (such as YinZhengTong, out-calling service, foreign exchange trading, business consultation and so on), which means that the status of IFLYTEK in the field of bank informitization has been consolidated and improved.
