Integrated telephone system of ICBC initiated in Shanghai

  To enhance the construction of integrated telephone bank and realize the intensive management of e-bank, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), after initiating integrated telephone bank in Heilongjiang, Ningxia, Beijing, Xinjiang and Qinghai branch, put into operation another one in Shanghai on Dec. 11. The system, with various functions, is now performing stably and reliably. The success means that ICBC has made a further step in the construction of integrated telephone bank.

  Starting of this system will not only improve the service level and competitive edge of Shanghai branch of ICBC, but also will lay a solid foundation for the development of telephone bank services in cities in the southern part of China.

Gigabit Ethernet router bringing an income of 930 USD million by 2008

Avaya, leader in the IP voice telecom market in the Asia-Pacific region in the first half of 2004

  Avaya (NYSE: AV), the world leading provider of telecom software, system and services, announced recently that, according to the latest report made by IDC, a market research company, Avaya went to the top in the field of IP voice telecom service in the Asia-Pacific region in the first half of 2004 (accounting for 27% of the total sales income and 26% of the IP-PBX: both ranks the first). The outstanding performance in this region consolidates its leadership on the world IP voice telecom market.
The report made by IDC (titled Anticipation on the Development of IP Voice Telecom Equipment during 2004-2009 and Market Share of the Equipment Providers in 2004) shows that Avaya accounts for 27% of the income from the IP voice telecom services in the Asia-Pacific region, an increase of 9% than that at the end of 2003. It also shows that Avaya's income from IP voice telecom services in this region has experienced an accelerated growth, with the income in the first half of 2004 exceeding the total income in 2003.

  According to the report, Avaya not only ranks the first in terms of income in the filed of IP voice telecom services in the Asia-Pacific region, but also ranks the first in terms of IP-PBX in this region, with a share of 26% in the first half of 2004, 10% more than the second one.
