Recently, SUNYARD (600571) beat many first-class domestic
and foreign manufacturers, winning the bid for the construction of the
integrated telephone banking system (TBS) for Henan Branch of the Industrial
and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).
SMS-based donation prevailing Europe
The Italian mobile subscribers have donated more than 11 million euro
to Asian tsunami victims through a SMS protocol. It seems to be a tendency
today to raise money through such SMS-based method.
Portugal's biggest telephone operator TMN has called on its five million
subscribers to donate money by this means. It says that it will charge
a dollar for each short message all through January. The money will be
donated to the Red Cross or other organizations serving the disaster area.
France Telecom also says that it will raise donations in such a way
from Monday to the end of January.
In Helsinki, the world biggest mobile phone provider NOKIA says it has
provides emergency aid to the disaster area. However, it didn't confirm
the report made by the Red Cross that its operation department in Finland
has donated a sum of 300,000 euro.
Beijing Mobile chose AisaInfo for the Stage II construction
of OCRM system
AsiaInfo announced that it has signed a contract with Beijing Mobile
for the Stage II construction of OCRM system.
It also says that the success in winning the contract is based on the
smooth cooperation between the two companies during the Stage I construction
of OCRM.
