HP cooperating with Intrado to provide a more reliable and more efficient 911 system

Recently, HP and Intrado, a leading provider of integrated data and telecom solutions, announced that Intrado would use HP's server technique to provide an operation platform for the next generation of 9-1-1 System, to meet the increasing demand on the market for public security. The two companies planed to develop a HP server platform of high reliability and high expandability to support Intrado Intelligent Emergency Network. It is a perfect emergency telecom structure to be used as the backbone of 9-1-1 System.

Skype and Fiberlink targeting enterprise users

Skype is cooperating with Fiberlink to gain the 800,000 enterprise users of the latter.

Fiberlink says that it will combine Skype's IP telephone service with Fiberlink's Extend360 mobile access software. In such a way Skype's service will be provided as a value-addded service.
Niklas Zennstrom, initiator and CEO of Skype, says that Skype's users are more and more intending to use low cost services. He says that Skype will enter into such cooperation relationship with other companies.
