Average monthly cost for VoIP telephone service amounts to 40 RMB

According to the 2005 China VoIP Market Research Report released by iResearch in July of 2005, the users have still a passion for VoIP service and the average monthly cost for such service is anticipated to be 40 RMB in the future. The number of Internet users in China has reached 104 million by the end of 2004, and will grow to over 130 million in 2005, including 42.5 million broadband users. The increase of the number of Internet users and broadband users will surely lead to the increase of the number of VoIp users. As the latest data in the report shows, the users who decide to adopt VoIP service account for 29% of the total sum, and those who will choose according to the actual conditions account for 59%. From this we know that there will be more than 12 million VoIP users in 2005. The great potential in the growth of the market is why it has attracted so much attention from traditional telecom operators and IM service provders.
