Research: PBX market will value 6.1 billion USD by 2009

According to the research report released recently by Dell'Oro, IP telephone technique has become the first choice in the PBX(enterprise switch)market. By the year 2009, the value of PBX market (IP PBX and mixed IP/TDM) will reach 6.1 billion USD, with a compound annual growth rate of 11%. According to Dell'Oro, in 2004 the sales value of IP PBXs and mixed IP/TDM PBX accounted for only 50% of the whole market value, while by 2009, the it will account for 88% . The market share of traditional TDM system will drop dramatically.
