The largest VoIP provider in America planning to collect 600 million USD

Vonage, the largest VoIP provider in America, says recently that it plans to collect a capital of 600 million USD through IPO.

As the analysts in Wallstreet says, Vonage has collected 400 million USD from the investors, including Bain, 3i and IVP.

Vonage was put into operation in 2002. The users can enjoy low-cost VoIP service provided by it by inserting the Internet-access line into the telephone set. According to the statistics, Vonage has over 800,000 users in total.

Vonage's IPO is quite important to the whole telecom industry. It reflects the confidence of the investors, who have been hesitating ever since the collapse of the telecom stocks in 2000.
