MSN Messenger providing SM service at a cost of 10RMB/month
On September 15, Shanghai MSN Network Communications Technology Co.,
Ltd announced to provide a test version of the Messenger service. This
means that MSN Messenger will be extended from PC to mobile phone. MSN's
Messenger is specially designed for Chinese market, and will be provided
at a price of 10RMB yuan a month.
Such service will make it more convenient for the users to communicate
with others. For the registered users, they can get message from their
friends through SM even if they are not in front of PC. Besides, they
can make reply to PC users by sending short message. They can also add
the users of mobile phones to the MSN Messenger (only for mobile phone
supported by MSN mobile Messenge). The users may fulfill the registration
by following the instructions at mobile.msn.com.cn.
Zhongshang Network to construct high-efficient call center for TICKETDAILY
TICKETDAILY is engaged in providing information on tourism, traffic, entertainment
and so on. Considering the rapid growth of the number of customers and
to improve the working efficiency and service quality, Shanghai Haishi
Investment Company plans to construct TICKETDAILY call center to serve
as a platform for ticket booking.
AP state of India adopting Verso VOIP solution
Verso Technology (Atlanta), provider of data pack solutions, announced
today that Aksh Broadband (India), Andhra Pradesh government and InCable
Net decided to form a purchase commission to buy Verso's VoIP soft switch
solution to support the VoIP service in Andhra Pradesh. The project, after
being completed, may become the world largest VoIP broadband network,
and may have one million users by 2008. Value of the first contract will
be as much as several million USDs. The broadband network is mainly used
to provide Intranet, Internet and VoIP service to the government, families
and enterprises in Andhra Pradesh of India. The purchase mission aim to
improve the level of education in rural areas by providing service based
on the next generation of techniques at a reasonable pric. It is anticipated
that the 40,000 schools (government-funded), educational institutions
and hospitals will all be connected to this broadband network.
