Huawei to construct NGN network for China Netcom

China Netcom signed a contract with Huawei Technologies in Beijing on Oct. 26. According to the contract, Huawei Technologies will construct NGN IP network and NGN major-customer oriented network for China Netcom. Meanwhile, China Netcom's NGN long-distance network will also adopt Huawei's equipment.

This IP network will provide real-time service and other services of high added value. It is planned to include over 70 NE5000E/NE80E core routers and abundant of S85 high-end switch and fire wall devices, covering 7 regions, 31 provinces and cities.

TeleData cooperating with Aculab

As a solution provider, TeleData technologies announced in New York in Oct. 2005 that it had established cooperation relationship with Aculab, manufacturer of telephone voice hardware and software to improve the flexibility of the T3 information processing platform of TeleData.
TeleData has integrate Aculab's Prosody PCI board card into the T3 platform to make it more flexible. Aculab board card enable T3 platform to support more than one protocals of standardized telephone voice applications, and can be used in different countries.

Huawei plans to build NGN production base in India

Huawei is planning to invest 60 million USD to build a production base in India. Now it is delivering proposals to relevant authorities of India for approval.

The production base will be located in Bangalore, for the production of NGN fixed wireless terminal and other products for Huawei
Nokia and Erricsson have established production bases in India.
