Google launching special version of Gmail service
Google says on Friday that it has launched a special version of Gmail
for mobile phone users. With it the users can get access to their Gmail
mailbox quickly and make voice response to the mails received.
Mobile phone users who want to enjoy such service shall first have an
intelligent mobile phone with which they can browse web pages. Through
Gmail, the users can browse the pictures and text attached in the mails,
and answer all the mails according to the telephone numbers stored in
Gmail. Gmail realizes the synchronization of mobile phone and computer,
no matter the users get access to the mails through Gmail Mobile system
or through Internet.
NMS expanding video telecom service to the market of broadband IP video
applications

IP video applications toolkit to help develop low-cost broadband IP video
applications.
With Video Access 2.0, the developers can deploy high-performance video
applications on 3G 324M or IP network. Combining with the high-performance
CG6565 platform of NMS, Video Access 2.0 can provide double number of
video ports. It supports various kinds of CIF video streams, such as SIP
telephones, CIF code conversion and rate conversion, VF communications
reconnection, etc.
Avaya assist Xinjiang Unicom upgrading customer service center
Avaya, the world leading provider of enterprise telecom network and services,
announced recently that the customer service center constructed by Avaya
and HUAPU ITC for Xinjiang Unicom, a branch of China Unicom, was put into
operation. The system is characterized by centralized management and distributive
deployment. It realized information sharing and improved the overall working
efficiency of the customer service center.
At present, the center has 300 positions, receiving about 150,000 calls
a day and can meet the demand of the customers of the headquarter and
the 16 branches of Xinjiang Unicom. The system adopts Avaya S8700 media
server, G650/G700 gateway, and Avaya CMS call management system.
