"110", "119" and "122" hotline of Beijing city to be integrated this summer

During July and August of this year, "110", "119" and "122" hotline of Beijing city will be integrated into one single line. This doesn't mean that "119" and "122" will be cancelled. In the second half year, the capacity of "110" information station will be expanded by 2-3 times, and the call receiving capacity will be doubled to ease and eliminate the traffic jam.

Beijing Telecom providing color ring service for fixed telephone (free of charge before June 30)

Beijing Telecom announced yesterday to provide color ring service for fixed telephone in Beijing. It is known that this is the first time fixed network operators provide such color ring service in Beijing.
Beijing Netcom, competitor of Beijing Telecom, is also planning to provide such color ring service. Pan Wei, deputy director of the Marketing Dept. of Beijing Netcom, says that the company is now testing and will launch such service in the first half year of 2006.

EPRO acquiring equity of Guangzhou Junfeng to expand business scope in China

PacificNet (Nasdaq: PACT), China's leading provider of CRM, call center, IVR and VAS solutions, announced recently that its branch EPRO has acquired 70% of the equity of Guangzhou Junfeng Network Technology Company, and will consolidate the financial statements of the company. It has license/permit for above-mentioned service, which can help EPRO develop contact center service in China. Junfeng will provide all the necessary support to EPRO, such as professional in-calling/out-calling service, equipment management, IVR support and so on to meet various demands of the customers.
