IDC: sales income from VoIP semi-condustor will reach 2,400,000,000
U.S. dollars in 2009
Market research company IDC says in the report that by the year 2009
the sales income from VoIP semi-conductor will reach 2,400,000,000 U.S.
dollar (the growth rate during 2004-2009 being 38.9%)
The research mainly covers the voice processing semi conductor products
on the market of VoIP terminals (digital signal processor, ASSP/ASIC、PLD、SLIC
and SLAC).
IDC also forecasts that by 2009, media gateways, soft switch and broadband
gateway will account for a most part of VoIP semi-conductor sent off.
Besides, IDC says there will be a fierce competition for the best structure,
and this may draw an end to the dominating position of digital signal
processor in this field.
VoIP functions can be integrated into telecom system, so that voice service
will be available on network.

Hunan Telecom implementing CRM/SPS project
On Jan. 4 of 2006, Hunan Transfar Technology Company (www.transfar.com)
held a launching ceremony for the CRM/SPS project: it will work hard for
three months to finish the R&D tasks and make the CRM/SPS project
a good example for others.
Enhancing the development of MBOSS project and providing guarantee for
enterprises in the transition are major tasks in the informatization of
telecom enterprises in Hunan.
To guarantee the smooth transition, Hunan Telecom decided to assign the
tasks of researching and developing CRM/SPS (core part of MBOSS) to Transfar.
