SAP providing hosted CRM software service

According to foreign media, SAP will start hosted CRM software service on Tuesday, which means commercial software giant has entered this crowded field.
SAP once said that the service it provided was different with what provided by other providers of hosted CRM software service. As a company who entered this market quite late, SAP is eager to make itself different and unique. Its competitor Siebel, which has been acquired by Oracle, has already provided such service, while Salesforce.com, another competitor, has also been on the stage for a long time.
SAP is quite late in entering this market. It said in April of last year that it was not intended to provide hosted CRM software service. But in July there were signs it was moving this way. This happens several months later than it was expected.
