9,500,000,000 short messages sent through China Mobile during China's spring festival period

On Feb. 8, relevant persons from China Mobile says that during the eight days from the New Year's Eve of 2006, 9,500,000,000 short messages were sent through China Mobile (1,900,000,000 sent during the New Year's Eve), an increase of 11% compared with that sent during the same period of 2005, that is, 8,400,000,000 (Short messages sent during the same period of 2005 was 7.7% more than that of 2004)
Before this, China Unicom has also released the data. During the eight days from the New Year's Eve of 2006, 3,100,000,000 short messages were sent through China Unicom, an increase of 20% compared with that sent during the same period of 2005
12,600,000,000 short messages were sent during this period through China Mobile and China Unicom, while the sum was 11,000,000,000 in 2005.
