MII: 18 IPTV standards to be issued

At the "2006IPTV Development Forum" sponsored by China Telecom World on Feb. 22, Jiang Lintao, general engineer of China Academy of Telecommunications Research of MII says that this year they will issue 18 IPTV standards, and IPTV is a beginning for the integration of three networks. What they are doing in Hangzhou is to combine the telecom network with the cable TV network (telecom enterprises and broadcasting & TV enterprises operate and share the benefit together).
