VoIP will experience a dramatic growth in 2008
Analysys pointed out in the report on China VOIP Market Supervision Policy
Tendency Forecast that VoIP is the trend of development. The reason it
is restricted by the government is that the conditions are still not mature.
All the policies are made to guarantee fair competition, maintain the
benefits of the country and the users, and prevent repeated construction.
Opening VoIP market in China in 2006 and 2007 will bring trouble to the
fixed network operators in cash flow and make them unable to construct
3G network. While in 2008 the conditions will be mature, because:
1. 3G will greatly reduce the fee of service, and fixed network needs
low-cost NGN technologies in the competition;
2. The construction of 3G network will come to an end, and the circuit
switching equipment of fixed network will be depreciated further, and
the fixed network operators are well prepared to reduce the fee and shorten
the distance with VoIP fee, so it is unnecessary to restrain the price
competition;
3. After the realization of FMC, there will be new monopoly enterprise
emerging on the market, and the management level will have to open the
fixed network to prevent monopoly. Market participants shall make adjustment
in the coming one or two years (such as establishing cooperation relationship
with the operators) for the development of VoIP.
40% of the call centers in the Asia-Pacific Region will invest in IP
technologies
Research shows that about 40% of the call centers in the Asia-Pacific
Region are planning to invest in advanced IP techniques. Over 80％ of the
informant say that the demand for multi-function call centers (voice,
e-mails, IM, SM, Web) are increasing rapidly.
Result of the research reveals that in the recent a few years the IP-based
techniques are more and more reliable, and reliability-related problems
are no longer the main obstacles for the popularization of IP technologies
in this region.
Eicon strengthening the cooperation relationship with Sino Voice to
develop domestic voice application marekt
Eicon Networks Corporation, the world leading provider of enterprise network
telecom products, announced on March 27 that it would dedicate itself
to developing the market of enterprise-oriented voice solutions in 2006.
It is forecasted that Eicon's voice solution business will experience
a significant growth, and will amount to 30% of the total sales value
