Genesys acquiring world famous Voice Genie

Genesys, the world No.1 provider of CTI and Voice Portal, will acquire the world famous language product Voice Genie. The acquisition will probably be finished in a few weeks.
The market of Voice Portal is developing very fast, and will probably be doubled in three years. Merging of the two companies will definitely make Genesys the leader in the field of call center. Genesys will occupy a market share of 25% in terms of voice self service, 2.5 times as large as that occupied by the competitor ranking the second. Moreover, it hopes to widen this gap by transmitting the software standard from IVR to VXML, and extend the product line so that the service provider can provide various kinds of services, including operation services.


"12355" hotline opened in Chongqing to protect the rights of the youth

The "12355" hotline is co-established by the Adolescent-crime-preventing working team, Adolescent Protection Commission, the Youth Commission and the Bureau of Justice of the Chongqing city. The hotline is opened to provide a new channel for the youth to protect their rights and get out of difficult situation.
The hotline is located at the Aid Center of Law (Bureau of Justice of Chongqing City). There will be experts on laws, professional psychological consulters to solve problems for the adolescents.

Operators to provide VAD system based on HUAWEI's techniques

Nuance Communications and HUAWEI announced that they had successfully deployed HUAWEI's VAD solutions. All these solutions are based on the ASR techniques of Nuance Communications.
With the VAD solutions, the caller can dial the number with voice command. Users of corded telephone and mobile phone can store the contact information on the network-based server, and then dial the number by saying the name of the person he want to contact
It is said that the solution can be used to manage the address book of various sizes (from dozens to thousands of telephone numbers). This system supports Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Besides, HUAWEI and Nuance Communications are now developing other languages versions of this system.
China Mobile, China Netcom and China Telecom all have adopted HUAWEI's VAD solutions.
