Cisco publicizing financial statement of the 3rd quarter of 2006

Cisco, the world leading provider of network equipment and solutions, publicized the financial statements dated on April 29, 2006 (the 3rd quarter of 2006)
According to the statement, net sales income in the 3rd quarter of 2006 amounted to 7300,000,000 USD. Compared with this, net sales income in the 3rd quarter of 2005 amounted to 6200,000,000 USD and that in the second quarter of 2006 amounted to 6600,000,000 USD. On Feb 24 of 2006, Cisco finished the acquisition of Scientific-Atlanta, which contributed 407,000,000 USD to the net sales income in the 3rd quarter of 2006.

China Telecom to provide IP-based data and voice network in America

American branch of China Telecom (728.HK) says that it would provide IP-based data and voice network.
The new network, known as Next Generation Carrying Network CN2, is based on multiple protocol label switching (MPLS) technique, and will be used as a commercial IP platform.
The company has not disclosed the relevant financial information yet, nor the areas where the above-mentioned network is available.
CN2 network can provide VPN, 3G mobile telecom service and converged communications service.

Alcatel cooperating with EBSuite to develop business in North America

On May 3, California, EBSuite, an online-paid CRM software provider, announced to enter into cooperation relationship with Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA and NYSE: ALA) to help the latter do business in North America.
