The vice general manager of
China Telecom saying the income of non-speech has been up to 27%

Recently at China¡¯s Communications Industry
Development Summit 2006, the vice general manager of China Telecom,
Zhang Jiping talked about the non-speech income of China Telecom
for the first time. He said that the percentage of the income of
non-speech income in the whole income has increased greatly after
the transferring for a year, the percentage of the non-speech income
has been up to 27%. That is, the 27% income does not depend on the
original calling business, but depend on the no ¨Cspeech value-added
and transferring businesses, including the access to the internet.
