AudioCodes announces a new Fax termination solution

2007/01/31

Voice over Packet (VOP) technology provider AudioCodes announced TrunkPack PCI and cPCI form factor SIP media gateway products just completed interoperability testing with FaxBack's NET SatisFAXtion 8.1, a T.38 VoIP fax system.

The move could enable designers to now build higher performance IP-based fax systems, while needing at the same time not only to retain their existing PSTN infrastructure, but also to avoid purchasing expensive dedicated fax blades. Designers could do this by deploying the newly available NET SatisFAXtion and AudioCodes' SIP media gateways boards combined.

"Our partnership with FaxBack enables a new range of high-performance and scalable fax offerings to customers," commented AudioCodes' Yehuda Dana, AVP of Sales in China. "Integrating our T.38-enabled media gateway products will provide industry leading AudioCodes media gateway performance along with the powerful FaxBack application platform."

According to the companies, newly completed interoperability between AudioCodes and FaxBack's products will enable designers to deploy a range of applications as large as OC-3/STM-1 capacity using the AudioCodes TP-6310/SIP cPCI media gateway blade, and as small as a single fractional E1, by using the TP-260/SIP PCI media gateway."
