Xi’an Has 488 Service Outsourcing Enterprises

Since October 23rd last year when Xi’an won the title of “China’s service outsourcing base city”, the city’s service outsourcing industry has witnessed sound development, with booming business volume. According to the most recent statistics from the Ministry of Commerce, by the end of June, the number of enterprises engaging in offshore service outsourcing in Xi’an reached 488, among which there were 89 foreign-funded enterprises with 32,202 employees. In the first half of this year, Xi’an City achieved USD31.04 million of accumulative execution amount for undertaking offshore service outsourcing business (ie, export), higher than the total service outsourcing business volume in 2006 based on the statistics of customs.
