Mobile TV Put to Large-scale Commercial-use Test by the End of the Year and Expected to Have Bright Prospect

According to SARFT (State Administration of Radio, Film and Television) and authorities in the industry, currently the technologies and standard accessories of mobile TV in China are being tested and put to prophase application and will be tested on a large scale and popularized by the end of the year in Beijing, so as to ensure that it can be commercialized before 2008 and used to watch the Olympic games. Besides, up to the end of the first half of the year, the number of cell phone users in China has exceeded 500 million. The presentation of mobile TV will possibly bring into being a large new industry including patent application of technologies, chip manufacturing, program making and terminal products developing and manufacturing.
