Edify and EnvoyWorldWide Announce Industry's
First Integrated, Two Way Wireless Customer Management System
2001/07/23
Integrated offering adds multi-modal outbound
communications capabilities to leading wireless customer interaction
and campaign management solution
Hong Kong, 19 July 2001 —Edify Corporation, an S1
company (NASDAQ: SONE) and a global leader in multi-channel, self-service
and assisted CRM solutions, today announced that the company has
entered into a joint marketing agreement with EnvoyWorldWide Inc.,
the leading provider of enterprise application messaging solutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, the parties will integrate Edify's
wireless vCSR (virtual Customer Service Representative) customer
interaction system with EnvoyWorldWide's EnvoyXpress one-to-many
messaging platform to deliver the industry's first integrated, wireless
customer management system.
More than one million wireless customers around the
world currently use Edify vCSR systems to access company information
and complete transactions. Now Edify and EnvoyWorldWide will offer
enterprises the ability to also reach out to unlimited numbers of
customers on a selective and proactive basis. Their combined product
makes it possible for an enterprise to both initiate and receive
high volumes of multi-channel customer messaging.
“Wireless communication was never intended to be an
insular business,” said Jackal Ma, Managing Director of Edify Asia.
“Historically, though, customer relationship and campaign management
systems were built with a gulf between them. Inbound customer interactions
were managed by one wireless system and outbound marketing campaigns
were managed by another. Now, through this agreement with EnvoyWorldWide,
we can integrate the two to deliver very large scale interactive
solutions.”
Designed to meet the needs of the mobile and time-sensitive
mBusiness economy, EnvoyXpress is EnvoyWorldWide's comprehensive,
enterprise application messaging platform. Using EnvoyXpress, companies
are able to quickly create and distribute messages simultaneously
to the recipient's device of choice, track the delivery, and solicit
a response from each recipient. Messages are delivered instantly,
personally and simultaneously, helping companies slash operating
costs, boost productivity, improve competitive advantage, and cultivate
customer loyalty.
“Our agreement with Edify brings together two leaders
in their fields for the development of innovative two-way customer
management solutions. This agreement provides customers the ability
to use wireless as a proactive, two-way marketing service and support
medium addressing inbound and outbound communications,” said Alain
Dasté, president and CEO of EnvoyWorldWide. “Now, companies can
adopt a single integrated system and seamlessly, contact and respond
to customers. The overall service is more effective, more efficient
and more in line with customer requirements.”
Edify’s vCSR is a patented and award-winning technology
that provides a unique ability to develop one-to-one solutions for
maximizing self-service and agent-assisted customer interaction.
The system can handle input and output from all channels — voice,
web, fax, email, and wireless — and works seamlessly with existing
desktop and legacy systems.
