Opening: Sales Engineer - China

Job Objectives: This role provides pre-sales and technical support to the Business Development Managers and Channel Partners. From a technical perspective the role becomes the pivotal contact point for all technical/architectural support provided prior to the sale of a solution containing RFPC technology.

Key Tasks:

1. Represent RFPC technology to the Channel and End Users with the aim to increase actual and potential Sales for RFPC. Tasks will include:

  • Presentations to channel, customers, prospects, and staff.

  • Demonstrations of RFPC Technology.

  • Attend both Pre- and Post-Sale channel/end user Meetings.

  • Manage the technical relationship with customers/partners.

  • Investigate and propose technical solutions to end user requirements.

2. Support Rockwell Sales people and BDM’s in the following:

  • Proposal Development.

  • Call Centre (ACD, IVR, CTI, etc.) Solution Design and Architecting

  • System Configuration Requests and Vaildation

  • Pricing Requests and validation.

  • Prospect/Customer Meetings.

  • Presentations and Demonstrations.

  • Pre-Sales technical assistance.

3. Support Tender Requests/ RFI’s/RFP’s . This will include:

  • Responding to Tender and compliance questions.

  • Architecting and Formulating a competitive technology solution

  • Bid Managing tender Responses.

  • Co-ordinating resources both local and international to ensure Tender dead lines are met.

4. Develop the technical pre-sales competency resident in the Channel Partners. This will include:

  • Delivering Rockwell Product Training.

  • Supporting Channel Tender Responses.

  • Assisting Channel Pre-Sales Personnel in Pre-Sales activities

  • Provide in-depth technical input into the Channel and Channel Account Managers.

5. Other tasks required by this role include:

  • Support marketing and sales initiatives which may require a Sales Engineering input.

  • Carry out other tasks/projects as required by the 'Manager' and/or the Executive Team.

  • Ensure the Company's Health and Safety Policy is understood by yourself and act accordingly.

  • Be aware of the Company's Quality Policy and comply with Quality Procedures applicable to the above responsibilities.

Reports to: Business Development Manager, China

Location: Beijing, China

Supporting Information:

  • At least 4-year experience in Telecommunication/IT industry

  • Good English

  • Requires the ability to travel.

  • Highly dynamic environment, the applicant needs to be flexible in outlook.

  • Requires an extremely positive outlook/attitude.

  • Role will include after hours work at times.
