Pronexus Supporting Brooktrout Boards

Pronexus, an IVR and CT applications company, has enhanced its VBVoice and VBFax development toolkits to support the TR1000 Series and TR114 Series of media processing boards from Brooktrout Technology. The integration allows developers to build highly-scaleable communications solutions with configurable voice and fax channel allocation on every board.

Chordiant Survey: UK, Europe Diverging On E-Commerce, CRM

UK blue-chips are more eager to adopt a "clicks and mortar" strategy than their European counterparts, according to a qualitative survey of 171 British, German and Dutch organizations published by Chordiant Software. However, of the companies surveyed, the UK had the worst record when it came to sharing customer information between existing departments. The combination of these two factors suggests that UK companies are developing e-commerce divisions in technical isolation from existing operations, severely compromising quality and consistency of customer service.

Alliance Systems introduced the I-Series Communications Solutions Family, a full range of open architecture systems. Consumer Speech-Dialing Goes Live In Minnesota

Philips Speech Processing announced the use of its speech recognition technology in a voice-activated dialing service that serves all customers of Sleepy Eye Telephone Company. Sleepy Eye customers can now pick up the phone, press ** and say the name of the person or location that they want to call. Preferred Voice, a Dallas-based speech recognition provider, is launching this. This is the first local telephone company in the nation to offer "** Talk."
