ELoyalty To Develop For Internet Banking Clients

ELoyalty announced a services and software agreement with e-PROFILE Inc., a vertical services provider for the financial services industry. Under this agreement, eLoyalty's eCRM consulting skills and Loyalty Suite of customer loyalty solutions will be tightly integrated with e-PROFILE, enabling e-PROFILE Internet banking clients to build lifetime relationships with their customers.

IBM To Speed Australian ASPs To Market

IBM announced a program to speed the transition of Australian-based Independent Software Vendors and solution developers to market as Application Service Providers. Sydney has been named as the location for the first Service Provider (SP) Ready Centre in the southern hemisphere, a facility which is designed to make the application technically ready for ASP delivery. The Service Provider Ready Program from IBM has attracted two Australian customers; Cincom and ApplicationStation.com; who are undertaking the program from the new Sydney based centre. IBM's SP Ready Program is a five step initiative that provides ISVs with the education, assessment, enablement, hosting and market launching assistance they need to transform their business and capitalise on the rapidly emerging ASP industry.

Pegasystems Releases Upgrade With Scalability

PegaSystems announced the availability of the PegaSystem 7.1 upgrade for existing customer implementations. This release offers current Pegasystems customers increased uptime, capacity, and scalability in addition to the capabilities of earlier PegaSystem releases. PegaSystem 7.1 includes PegaWorks, a rules engine, which standardizes an organization's best practices and automates workflow ; PegaConnect, providing connectivity to legacy applications and databases; and PegaCall, an interface to computer-telephony integration (CTI) functions.

Inter-Tel Rolls Out Software-Based IP Telephone

Inter-Tel announced the controlled product introduction of a software-driven version of Inter-Tel's IP telephone. The software-based IP phone resides on a computer, functioning as a virtual phone that can be used in a main office, branch office, hotel or at home. The software phone is connected to an Inter-Tel Axxess phone system through a company's data network lines -- a LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network) or a high-speed Internet connection, such as DSL or cable modem. The software-based IP phone is fully integrated with Inter-Tel's Axxess PBX.
