Report: Consumers Creating $6B In Internet Information Exchanges

Consumer knowledge traded over the Internet will facilitate over $50bn of online purchases in five years. According to a new research report by global market analysis firm Datamonitor, "P2P (People to People eCommerce) eCommerce Information Exchanges," a new group of Internet startups will generate $6 billion of direct information exchange annually by 2005.

Oracle Launches Customer Intelligence Apps

At the Oracle Applications User Group, Oracle unveiled new business intelligence applications for analyzing customer and business information for front-office operations. Key components of the Oracle E-Business Suite, 11i, include: Oracle Sales Intelligence, Oracle Marketing Intelligence, Oracle Interaction Center Intelligence and Oracle Customer Intelligence. It is planned to operates all business functions based on a single schema and single customer data model. This will allow for all transactions and customer interactions to be tracked and leveraged for improved decision making, enhanced sales effectiveness, customer profitability and customer service.


InterVoice-Brite 和 Lernout达成TTS协议

InterVoice-Brite, Lernout In TTS Agreement

Lernout & Hauspie and InterVoice-Brite announced today that InterVoice will integrate L&H's RealSpeak and TTS3000 text-to-speech engines into its unified messaging applications and call automation platforms. The RealSpeak engine is based on advanced technology that converts ordinary text into highly intelligible, natural sounding speech. The availability of L&H TTS engines on the InterVoice-Brite IVR platform will enable developers to create sophisticated call automation solutions capable of "reading" email and other information to callers. In a call center environment InterVoice-Brite platforms provide customers access to automated transactions without requiring the assistance of a live agent.
