ITXC says that the Chinese Ministry of the Information Industry (MII), which has regulatory authority over telephony services in China, has upgraded the status of IP telephony from a limited trial to an approved service. The Ministry has authorized four companies including China Telecom, with which ITXC has a previously announced operating agreement, to provide IP telephony services.
