Systems Modeling Acquired By Rockwell Automation
Rockwell Automation, a business of Rockwell, has acquired the assets of
Systems Modeling Corp., a Pittsburgh-based developer of simulation and
modeling software. The transaction appears not to have been motivated
by call center considerations, even though Rockwell's parent company makes
switches and Systems Modeling makes simulation tools for call center traffic.
Both, are heavily involved in industrial process management, and that's
where the transaction has traction.

Active Voice & Tundo Announce Interoperability
Tundo Corporation, a, Massachusetts-based provider of open IP telephony
systems and Active Voice announced that they have completed interoperability
testing between Tundo's Network Telephony System(NTS) and Active Voice's
Unity unified messaging solution. In addition, the two companies have
signed a product interoperability and marketing agreement, which will
include further integration of the two applications and the joint marketing
of their combined solutions.

Strategic Alliance
Blue Pumpkin Software and the new Enterprise Networks Group being spun
off from Lucent Technologies announced a strategic alliance today to
provide solutions that help companies successfully manage human resources
in multi-channel customer contact centers. Lucent's Enterprise Networks
Group will resell Blue Pumpkin Software's workforce management software,
incorporating it as part of Lucent's suite of CRM Solutions. Blue Pumpkin
Software workforce management products are designed to optimize the
forecasting and scheduling of agents in contact centers by ensuring
the right agent skills are available at the right time, and the products
currently integrate with the Enterprise Networks Group's CRM solutions.
