AVT扩展MediaLinq IP传真和Email服务

AVT Extends MediaLinq IP Fax and Email Services
AVT released WebLinq 2.0 and MediaLinqClient 3.2. WebLinq enables customers
to launch fax and email broadcasts, track broadcast status and manage
lists and documents using standard Web browsers from anywhere in the world.
MediaLinqClient software provides access to these tasks and the full range
of MediaLinq services from the Windows desktop.
HDI认证程序完成Beta测试

HDI Cert Program Out of Beta
Help Desk Institute announced the availability of the production version
test for its new Star Series Help Desk Analyst (HDA*) level certification.
The full rollout of the HDA* test follows a beta testing period that began
in February 2000. Two other levels of the HDI Star Series certification
tests just completed their beta release and the data is being assembled.
These two Star Series certification levels are HDSE* for help desk support
engineers and HDM* for help desk managers. These tests will be available
to the general public through Prometric, a division of Thompson Learning,
in June 2000.

Siemens unveiled 21 new products in its HiPath Enterprise Convergence
Architecture that was announced in February. The new offerings focus on
four key areas: evolution of circuit-switched technologies to leverage
the benefits of IP; evolution of IP technologies to deliver the feature
richness of circuit switching; evolution to common applications, regardless
of network infrastructure; and evolution to the "mobile enterprise."

Philips Adds LatAm Spanish To Speech Rec Portfolio
Philips Speech Processing announced the availability of Latin American
Spanish as the latest language available for SpeechPearl, the software-only
speech recognition platform for large vocabulary, continuous speech recognition
applications such as directory assistance, name dialing and customer service
automation. The addition of Latin American Spanish marks the 19th language
that is recognized by Philips' SpeechPearl product.

3Com Improves PSTN Connectivity In NBX 100
3Com announced significant enhancements to its NBX 100 Communications
System that will strengthen its converged voice and data communications
solution. Small and medium-sized commercial customers in North America
and sixteen European countries will be able to realize the benefits of
a single IP-based network for improved communications. With these enhancements,
the NBX 100 business telephone system will provide enhanced T-1/E-1 PRI
services, support for Microsoft Windows 2000 and support for E-911 services
over T-1 PRI circuits.
