Business Objects Launches Seminar Series With IBM, Siebel
Business Objects announced a seminar series with IBM and Siebel Systems.
During the six-city tour, executives from Business Objects, IBM, and Siebel
Systems will discuss how managing customer interaction, driving customer
intimacy, and personalizing customer communication can help drive higher
margin revenue and upselling/cross-selling opportunities. In addition,
they will share how implementing the care cycle can help companies attract
new customers while providing value-added services to keep the most valuable
ones.

Virtual Call Center Delivered to Finland Post
Cisco Systems and Wicom Communications announced the delivery of a pioneering
fully IP-based call center to Finland Post, Finland's conveyor of information,
small goods and parcels. All the user interfaces and software in Finnish
Post's call center, based in three locations in Finland, are now browser-based.
This web hosting offers many benefits to the company as it is a cost-effective
method of ensuring that business-critical software is constantly updated
and reliable. It also allows greater working flexibility for management
and employees.

Applix announced a partnership with Ericsson Consulting GmbH, a global

two companies will focus on an integrated CRM solution for the German
market, which includes Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

GTech Providing CC Services To Texas Govt.
GTech has been selected by the Texas Department of Human Services to provide
call center support services for the State's electronic benefit transfer
(EBT) system. They will provide multi-lingual hotline services for the
more than 1.4 million Department of Human Services clients and the 13,000
retailers that honor the State EBT cards. The contract will provide for
compensation on a per call basis and will be for a five-year term with
options to extend for up to seven additional years.

Philips Delivers Voice-Activated Directory Assistance Apps to Telcos
Philips Speech Processing announced six agreements have been recently
signed to provide directory assistance automation applications to major
carriers on three continents. These customers join Philips' roster of
customers that have previously deployed directory assistance applications
such as number look-up and call completion, including Ameritech, Bell
South, AT&T Canada, Bell Canada, the Dominican Republic Telecom,
New Zealand Telecom and others.
