More than 900 jobs will be created by First Security Corporation and Wells
Fargo, 600 of them due to the opening of a new call center for Wells Fargo
Internet Services Group. The center will be located at First Security's
International Center Campus. Wells Fargo plans to locate the new call
center in the former ATT Call Center building.

GN Netcom Acquires Jabra
GN Netcom will acquire Jabra Corporation a supplier of hands-free headset/earset
products for mobile and cordless phones in the United States. The purchase
price for Jabra is $40 million plus earn-out payments totaling a maximum
of $35 million. The purchase is subject to approval by the US antitrust
authorities and is expected to be granted this July. Following the merger,
Jabra will continue to operate as a strategic business unit within the
GN Netcom Group under the leadership of its present management team. Its
operations will continue to be headquartered in San Diego, California,
a hot bed for wireless technology development. The company will continue
to offer its current as well as new products under the Jabra brand.

Interactive Northwest, SpeechWorks Form Strategic Partnership
Interactive Northwest, developer of specialized interactive voice response
services and deployment of speech recognition technologies, has signed
a partnership agreement with SpeechWorks. INI and SpeechWorks will focus
on building and developing large-scale, speech-enabled applications quickly
and cost effectively for enterprise customers. INI will resell SpeechWorks
6.0, including its DialogModules, pre-fabricated "building blocks" for
common speech interactions, with Lucent's Intuity Conversant IVR platform.
ITXC和Interoute扩展在欧洲的IP电话关系

Pan-European carrier, Interoute, is extending its Internet telephony relationship
with ITXC into Europe, a move which will drive down its costs and lead
to cheaper voice calls for consumers. Interoute抯 Denmark subsidiary is
installing ITXC-owned and operated equipment on its premises to connect
the Danish switch directly to ITXC.net, the global Internet telephony
network.

Witness Systems announced a product integration and co-marketing partnership
with Kana. Witness' eQuality Response, which records and evaluates electronic
mail interactions between a customer and customer sales/service representative
(CSR), integrates with Kana Response, an inbound message management solution
for responding to and directing customer e-mail and web forms.
